Behind the brand name

The brand name Meiava incorporates part of the middle name of its Founder, Mimi Lee and her sisters, with “Mĕi” (美) (pronounced like the month of May) which means “beautiful” in Chinese.

The second part, “Ava” is taken from the Latin word, meaning “Life”.

Combined, it personifies the Why of Meiava to help others to find their personal best, so they can live their beautiful life.

The pink lotus on the Meiava logo is symbolic of growth and personal progress. Like the lotus which rises from the depths of a muddy river to bloom and flourish, women face countless of opportunities and challenges and somehow rise to thrive at work and in life.

In everything we do, we aspire for it to be authentic and relatable to women and the allies around them – and powerful in sharing the voices of women.
