How connections can create a ripple effect

Mimi Lee, Founder & CEO. Meiava

Around 250 women leaders attended the evemt

At the Women in Leaderhip Summit in Sydney on 28-29 November 2023, Meiava’s Founder, Mimi Lee spoke about how connections can inspire a ripple effect. She emphasised how connections help women to thrive and expand their leadership capacity. Yet, there is a talent development gap, as women want advice at every career stage, yet finding advisors is difficult without strong networks or connections. Many struggle to identify relatable advisors of any gender with shared experiences.

Mimi talked about how surrounding ourselves with diverse perspectives and experiences fosters our development. And, how by leveraging the power of connections and paying it forward to support women leaders in their development, we can strengthen the female talent pipeline.

Meiava at Women in Leadership Summit 2023

Meiava will be an onsite experience partner at the Women’s Leadership Summit in Sydney from 28 to 29 November 2023. The event is in support of UN Women and the work they do globally to promote women’s (and girls) empowerment and gender equality. We will be onsite presenting a brief talk during a networking session and building brand awareness for Meiava.

The theme of the series is “Breaking the mould” which challenges biases on how a leader should look and behave, to reimagine and encourage diversity in leadership. This theme is well aligned to Meiava’s mission and purpose.

Being held simultaneously in 6 locations in Australia and New Zealand, the annual event draws women at different stages of their career, men as allies, and corporate decision makers from different industries. Event site.
